The BauBike is inspired by Bauhaus design. It is constructed around the geometric shape of the square and the equilateral triangle. The design is stripped down to clean lines and raw material.

July saw the launch of the rucksack diffusion line for the Fashion on the Lock stall in collaboration with Isolated Heroes. This was an extremely successful venture and almost all the original set of bags have sold out... but don’t worry there are a few more being made to go on sale very very soon!
These new bags will also included a very special personalised bag to say thank you to Emma Noble for creating this magnificent video to promote the collection! The video creates a great mood for the designs and emphasises my vision of effectiveness through simplicity.
Emma is an invaluable contact to have especially in the growing market of fashion films. She has an amazing natural talent for editing and we see this over and over again in the films she has created. She has been working a lot with emerging designers giving them the needed platform to get their work noticed. She has recently joined the Shaded View of Fashion team, run by Diane Perrnet a leading figure in the fashion film business.
Some of Emma’s other amazing videos can be seen below and for more information you can visit her website!

The printed copy of Papercut Magazine came today- Its pretty exciting to see the shoot in reality and not just virtually!
The collection has been in and out of the studio all week, and a few shoots booked for next week, so hopefully there will be some more amazing shoots to post soon. Its always so interesting to see how a photographer or stylist chooses to portray the collection as it is so different then the way I might have done it.... i.e the University lookbook shoot where they decided to put my jacket on inside out!...The other great part is to see what other designers they use on the same shoot and how they mix the collections together.

C '∆RT' PETS....

Following on from the 'Lighthouse' video that created incredible costumes from everyday object, the people at 'We Make Carpets' have created large-scale astonishingly beautiful rugs out of similarly mundane objects. The first one pictured below is made of entirely plastic forks and the second out of army men toys. The shapes, patterns, colours and textures created are just so fascinating. Although having a delicate fork rug would not by the height of practicality, the rugs do make amazing art pieces.

Lately I've been associating with a lot of work to do with film, both with my own films as well as the exciting projects that people are working on around me.... Film is something that I'd say is relatively new to me, partly due to my strange childhood where I insisted on watching nothing but 'Star Wars' and 'Three Men and a Baby'. Now that I have started to branch out and explore the amazing world of film, I've found it to be a great source of inspiration. Both of my final year collections had an aspect of film inspiration  and now that I have graduated from the sketchbook guidelines of university, I feel that my new collection can be based more heavily on moving images.

I came across this music video for the New Villagers song 'Lighthouse'...  the costumes, colours, prints, textures... its all just pretty amazing. I feel that using film as a foundation for my prints should give them a new dimension and hopefully see a great progression from my graduate collection!..
